چکیده
Thattekad bird sanctuary, located in the Western Ghats of Kerala, India, which hosts an unexplored microbial community, is selected for present investigation. Microbes play a major role mineral recycling and nutrient absorption by flora fauna habitat. Various bacterial extracellular enzymes facilitate all these activities. The increasing demand favor green technology encouraged us to focus on exoenzyme profiling isolates from forest soil samples. study aimed at screening identification producing strains isolated evergreen forests moist deciduous sanctuary. In this study, only multienzyme bacteria were detailed analysis because such are highly relevant multi-enzyme dependent processes as biowaste degradation. We screened nine hydrolytic exoenzymes namely, amylase, cellulase, ligninase, pectinase, xylanase, caseinase, gelatinase, esterase lipase, identified 79 multienzyme-producing strains, mostly belonging phylum Firmicutes Proteobacteria. produced greater number compared Also, more forest. Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain TBS040 was found produce screened. Enzymatic hydrolysis using cell free crude enzyme extract velezensis TBS064 resulted enhanced bioethanol production. These findings highlight importance habitats novel can contribute future technology.

Isolation of Cryptococcus spp. and Histoplasma capsulatum from soil and Bird Droppings at Kulik Bird Sanctuary, Raiganj, West Bengal, India
Cryptococcosis is an acute, sub-acute or chronic fungal disease caused by an encapsulated basidiomycetous yeast belonging to the genus Cryptococcus (Jagdish Chander). It is among the most prevalent lifethreatening mycoses and has a worldwide distribution (Meyer et al., 2003). Among the many species of the genus “Cryptococcus” that are prevalent ubiquitously in environment, C. neoformans and C. ...
متن کاملIsolation of antibacterial material-producing bacteria from saline soil
Saline soils are widely spread in Iran. These intact soils are a great source for the isolation of new bacteria with highly functional metabolites in biotechnology. Actinomycete strains were isolated on starch casein agar and ISP2 with different concentrations of sodium chloride (0, 5 and 10%) from treated soil samples. Pure colonies were cultured on a casein glycerol medium. After complete gro...
متن کاملBiodegradation of methylene blue from aqueous solution by bacteria isolated from contaminated soil
The use of biodegradation methods by microorganisms in the removal of industrial dyes are widely considered owing to their high efficiency and compatibility to the environment. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the biodegradation of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution by bacteria isolated from contaminated soil. This study was performed in laboratory scale on bacteria isolated and pu...
متن کاملSeparation and purification of bacteria from soil.
Bacteria were released and separated from soil by a simple blending-centrifugation procedure. The percent yield of bacterial cells (microscopic counts) in the supernatants varied over a wide range depending on the soil type. The superantants contained large amounts of noncellular organic material and clay particles. Further purification of the bacterial cells was obtained by centrifugation in d...
متن کاملIsolation of antifungal bacteria from soil samples
Six strains of Bacillus cereus exhibiting antifungal activity were isolated from local environment and optimized for growth conditions. The isolates appeared neutrophiles, grew best at aeration and were represented by thermophiles and mesophiles. Growth inhibition zones of varying diameters were observed when the isolates were tested against Saccharomyces cerevisiae on nutrient agar. Largest in...
